Ok, didn't work the last time, but I find myself with another week with two days off in a row (Tues/Weds) so this time I am definitely getting out of Altoona. I've seen hotel rooms at $40-$50 in NYC and Ocean City so now just have to make up my mind. OC

New York City (Ryan Star plays Weds. night, cheap tickets...never been to a hockey game, Rangers and Islanders play both nights)
Ocean City (nothing going on but indoor pool and it's oceanfront)
Washington DC (The B-52's play Weds. night)
Niagra Falls (never been, not sure what there is to do there)
