What should I do with my life?

Be a vet - will take 7 years, lots of struggling with science classes, and potentially a move to PEI if I don't get into Guelph. BUT ... can I even get into vet school, or wait that long to start working?
Be a social worker - will take 4 years to do social work and law, easier academically, and I'm already accepted for September 2009. BUT ... once I burn out after 5 years in the work force, what do I do then?
