Restore the old bowl traditions, get rid of the BCS.
The BCS is the best system available.
Modify the current system by adding a plus-one format.
Use an 8 team format with the BCS bowls as the first round.
Scrap the bowls and have a 16 team tournament.
Use an NFL style 12 team format with the top 4 having a bye.
Use an Australian rules playoff.
Use criterion to determine qualified teams, no fixed structure.
