Hypothetically, if you were to steal a street sign, how would you do it?

Use some tools, like a "monkey" wrench, and do whatever it is you do with tools to get the sign off.
Drive your friend's Zip Car in to the sign and knock it over. Return to the scene dressed as city workers and "remove" the sign for safety.
Use a blow torch or a diamond saw to remove the entire top part of the sign.
