You're out in the middle of the night, say, 1-4am. You get to a red light. Do you sit obediently until it turns green, or do you carefully check to see that nothing is coming, then go?

I sit obediently until it turns green. It doesn't matter that carjackings are on the rise.
I carefully check for oncoming traffic, then go .. what's the point of sitting there yielding to nothing in the middle of the night?
