Where did the dead chipmunk come from?

1. Lass licked it to death and the chipmunk had just enough time to crawl out of his cage before his gloomy end
2. Beast ate it the night before and somehow pulled a Houdini and coughed it up, spit it out through the cage grates and onto to the floor.
3. Tupper killed it and offered it to the dogs either as a peace offering or to taunt them in their cages.
