What wrong with the music scene right now that most bands can't get 20 people to come to their shows?

The venues are not in good locations.
The music from local bands is all the same and just not interesting.
The cost to get into a show is not worth it.
The music industry is just in bad shape and nothing can help that right now.
Bands are not progressing, playing the same of music from 5 years ago.
We need to get back to dance music, girls want to dance and not stand around.
