A coal mine in the 1930s - a time of economic crisis and labor wars when the country seemed to be falling apart, a time with many resonances with our current era.

A coal mine during the 1960s - when coal was still big, a time of social change

A coal mine in the 1970s - a more modern era, when many of the same disparities, rich vs poor, near slave-labor in the mines, still existed (though no one knows this...yet).

A different era entirely.
