There is a hype about professional networking online. Tell me how many of you have ripped off any results from such networking sites. Or is it a fake illusion of being connected to people who "might matter"?

Somewhat helpful. Got to know some smart people who I m in touch with.
I have a profile, updated, tons of connection....and I wonder WHY :/ nothing useful
I would rather not even waste time on those!
