How do you shop for groceries?

I make many trips to the store/week to get what I need/want at that moment.
I buy what's on sale/looks good and figure out what to do with it at meal time.
I plan complete meals ahead of my trip so that I get what I need.
To me, it's an art: Menu planning plus many coupons, sale flyers, bulk buying.
