I would not ever want to end or even reduce suffering by intervening in nature, so this is meaningless to me.
I would prefer to see tame predators (in this example, lions) who eat a vegan diet (maybe with in vitro meat) which sprouts out of certain spots in the ground like hi-tech manna.
I would prefer to see aggressive lions which *never encounter* actual natural prey (or actual prey is protected, somehow), thus only eat non-sentient *hyper-realistic artificial prey robots*, built very organically and loaded with in vitro meat that the predator can readily hunt down and eat (this would, over time, help maintain that creature's original evolution-given instincts).
I would prefer to see all nature uploaded to computers, and all of earthly life to live without suffering (except those who like suffering, maybe) in amazingly interesting virtual worlds/simulations (which allow all to live very happy lives... play music, experiment, be free... travel through the cosmos virtually...).
I would prefer "total desertification"... nature to vanish, so that there is no possible suffering after that moment (in our region of space-time, anyway... no more "earthly biological suffering").
