If you were buying a non-fiction e-book for research, would it matter to you whether it had a linked index?

Must. Have. Index. Cannot research without index. Even in an e-book.
What? Index in an e-book? Didja ever hear of a little thing called "search"?

I've never thought about it, but now that you mention it, an index would be cool.
