I had a lady today tell me that you can't be friends with someone if you aren't in a close physical proximity to them. I am curious to know what ya'll think?

A) Yes, you cannot be friends unless you can touch the person.
B) I see her point, friendships can't be developed unless you spend time with a person, in the same location.
C) Wait....what?!?!
D) Friendship knows no boundaries. I have friends who I have never met, but they know me better than the people I am around every day.
