half an hour or more before the lecture in order to prepare for it.
ten to fifteen minutes before the lecture in order to meet my friends and discuss, amongst other things, our preparation for the lecture.
at 8:30 am sharp.
after 8:30 am because nothing important is said in the first fifteen minutes of the lecture.
