Peacock Inspiration

This dining room is inspired by The Peacock Room, a storied dining room that architect Thomas Jeckyll designed for a London shipping magnate and then turned over to James McNeill Whistler in 1875 to choose the color for the room’s shutters and doors. Whistler took control and turned the room into a masterpiece of mural art in vibrant shades of peacock blue with goldleaf trim. This interpretation retains the colors but simplifies the design for a modern look.
