I'm just curious. What statements best represent your thoughts about people spilling lots of personal stuff on Facebook, including opinions about controversial media stories, convictions/doubts or criticisms about religious beliefs, or strong opinions on political or other controversial issues, etc? I'm kind of a voyeur and honestly I prefer to see people let their real opinions out, even though personally I may judge them harshly if they're an idiot.

I would prefer people keep personal opinions to themselves that are certain to upset at least some friends. I won't mention it but that's how I feel. I want to know what my friends are up to but I don't want to read their soapbox sermons.

I don't really care. If I think people are boring or I disagree with them I just keep scrolling. No harm done. Free speech yo!

I am definitely not comfortable sharing my own personal opinions, but there's no harm in other people spilling their guts. My Netflix account is expired so I appreciate the entertainment.

Facebook is not an effective tool for having meaningful conversations about nuanced, complex subjects. You're asking for miscommunication and hurt feelings. Its best to not get sucked in and so I would rather not be tempted by provocative posts.

I like some opinions and hate others. I don't usually get involved but on occasion I might want to, based on how I feel. Overall I wouldn't discourage anybody from writing about what is really on their mind. Its refreshing to see a bit of someone else's humanity.

If people are willing to post strong opinions, they must be asking for a strong rebuke, which I'm happy to give to them. Prepare to get your ass kicked!

I try to grow only a vetted circle of Facebook friends who share common beliefs and opinions so I can speak honestly without worrying about criticisms which harsh my flowery optimism.

I love having my ideas challenged. I welcome any and all viewpoints and I honestly have no issue with people who think totally different from me. I just like to understand better how others think. I rarely have negative feelings toward someone who is bringing up sensitive topics. On the contrary I enjoy getting into the meat of discussions.
