How should kids get extras like toys, games, or money for outings with friends?

It is the up to the parents to provide.
By doing age appropriate jobs (like mowing lawns or washing cars for neighbors)
It should be given in the form of allowance.
By doing special tasks outside of normal chores.
By keeping grades up to "earn" it.
