Your spaceship will get a special attack or other feature that will be used automatically during the battle.
The pilot’s speciality will define the parametres of the components of your spaceship such as energy consumption or ballistic weapons’ attack capacity.
The pilots will define spaceship’s tactics and strategy in battles such as distance or frequency of the manoeuvres.
I don’t like the idea with pilots.
