Please take this quick poll to let us know what you would like us to prioritize during the 2019 Legislative Session in Washington State. The Fostering Change team has been busy working with statewide leaders and state representatives about current issues within the child welfare system. And guess what? We’ve been invited to present at the Kids Caucus during the upcoming legislative session. We are incredibly honored to share the voice of foster parents and educate our state leaders on topics like trauma, attachment and permanency for children in care. This is an amazing opportunity and we need your input! Thank you for participating!

The NHS is considering creating a new type of health professional, bridging the gap between a Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses to help reduce growing workloads. This new type of staff would do some of the tasks currently done by fully qualified nurses after 18-24 months’ training, less than the three years needed to get a nursing degree and could become known as “nurse associates”. Do you agree with this proposal or not?
