Clackmannanshire Council are considering a proposal to implement charges for Council owned car parks in Alloa town centre. The people who work in Alloa town centre, many on low pay, will have no choice but to pay these new parking charges and many of the people employed in Alloa have been suffering due to endless austerity and this budget suggestion will further compound their misery. To our mind this is simply a tax on people working in Alloa that does not take any account of the impact it will have on the Town Centre or the People who work here. Do you agree that charging for parking in Alloa town centre is unfair and will damage local businesses and the local economy?
