Six candidates on the ballot and the top pick still couldn't clear a quarter of the vote. Aydın Karabulut finished first with 24.5%, but that means roughly three in four voters picked someone else. Behind him, Edouard Cisse and Hiçbiri are separated by just 3 votes out of 2,320 — a virtual tie for second.
Serdar Kurtuluş sat close enough (18.1%) to stay in the conversation the whole way, while Gordon Schildenfeld barely registered at 0.7%. Geography adds a wrinkle: Turkish voters, the bulk of the sample, lean Karabulut, but the small U.S. contingent breaks for Kurtuluş instead — a reminder this 'winner' never built a true majority anywhere.
- No majority · Winner Aydın Karabulut took only 24.5% of all votes
- Photo finish for 2nd · Edouard Cisse edges Hiçbiri by just 3 votes
- Country split · Turkey leans Karabulut, the U.S. leans Kurtuluş instead
- Also-ran · Gordon Schildenfeld drew a mere 0.7% of the field
