Across 81 provinces and 2,312 votes, nobody came close to a majority. İzmir topped the whole field with 147 votes — just 6.4% — edging Ankara's 136 (5.9%) by a mere 11 votes. That gap is smaller than the one separating 2nd place from 3rd: İstanbul's 4.5% trails Ankara by almost three times the margin that separates the top two.

İzmir led from the first day, but the cushion kept eroding — an 8-point lead over Ankara early on shrank to 6 points by the final stretch, and the certified count closed it to half a point. Meanwhile 20-plus provinces never cracked 2%, and Şırnak and Kilis finished with zero votes apiece out of 81 on the ballot.
