Tamer Hosny finished first with 19.4% in a 12-singer field, but the opening stretch was unsettled: the lead changed hands five times before Tamer established control. Elissa, Saber Rbai, Fadel Shaker, and George Wassouf all finished between 12.9% and 13.6%.
Tunisia supplied the largest recorded country bloc and leaned Saber Rbai rather than the eventual winner. The fragmented result gave Tamer less than one-fifth of the vote.
- Early volatility · Five lead changes occurred in the opening stretch.
- Fragmented win · Tamer Hosny captured only 19.4%.
- Tunisian dissent · Tunisia’s largest bloc leaned Saber Rbai.
