"Yes" was ahead before the poll even had a chance to close 78% on day one and only tightened its grip from there, climbing to 85% by the end of a 409-day run. Across 2,552 votes, "No" never once pulled closer; it just kept losing ground, a slow bleed from a fifth of the vote down to roughly one in seven.

The margin held up as votes rolled in from India, the US, Pakistan, Bangladesh and beyond every top country leaning the same direction, and men outvoting women by roughly 3-to-1 on both sides without changing the shape of the result. This wasn't a poll that swung; it was one where the outcome was locked in before most voters even showed up.

  • Day-1 verdict · Yes opened at 78% and only grew from there
  • Zero lead changes · No never closed the gap across 409 days
  • Global agreement · Every top country, from India to the UAE, leaned Yes
