The only real resistance was local. Jordan and Algeria were the sole countries in the top ten to favor رمضان — his home turf showing up in the numbers — while Egypt, the US, Morocco, Tunisia, Germany, Israel and Belgium all leaned Zeitoun, giving him the broader geographic base. Canada was السباهي's lone stronghold, likely Iraqi diaspora support.
