Nobody had to come from behind here. SI opened at 68% on day one and closed the poll at 66.2% — 3,104 votes to 1,586. Across all 43 days, the cumulative share for keeping Maradona as DT never fell under 63%. This wasn't a nail-biter; it was a settled question from the first ballots, with No's best days still leaving it outnumbered nearly two to one.
The gap widens under the surface. Among voters who gave a gender, women broke even harder for keeping him than men did: they made up roughly a third of SI's gendered votes versus under a quarter of No's. Argentina and the United States both leaned SI too — the country data lines up with the coalition size, not against it.
