من هو رئيس الحمهورية القادم ؟
In a Facebook poll of 5,241 respondents, 41.3% chose “احمد شفيق”. How we count
Ahmed Zoweil opened with a symbolic 100% on day 1, but Amr Moussa flipped the race by day 2, leading by nearly 40 points. The real turning point came on day 6: Ahmed Shafik surged past Moussa and grabbed a commanding 56-point lead. That lead never cracked — Shafik held first place for the remaining 124 days, cruising to a final 41.3% to 24.6% win.
The gender split tells its own story: Moussa's crowd ran 73% male, while Shafik pulled a far more even 58% male/42% female base — the broadest appeal of any candidate. Geography split too: Egypt and the United States both backed Shafik, but Saudi Arabia's small bloc swung hardest for ElBaradei, a lone holdout against the leader's dominance.
