How did you decide which course to study?

I need this qualification to follow my chosen career path.
The course I wanted to study was full, so this was my second choice.
I'm only studying this because there are bursaries available.
My parents/a teacher told me to study this course.
I'm just "trying it" to see if it's what I'm interested in.
