What's the worst that can happen if you lose your data?

I would lose my job.

The company would lose thousands/millions in downtime and lost data.

The boss would praise me for giving the company a brand new start.

Nothing. Who cares about recovering data any way.

I would work day and night until recovery was complete. And, continue until I could prove it wouldn't happen again.
