Brutally honest opinion please: If a close friend/Family member invited you to an 'away wedding' and asked you to cover your transport and accommodation costs in lieu of a wedding gift. How would you feel?

I wouldn't go.
I think it's a bit rude; why can't they just get married nearby?!
I think it's presumptuous to expect such an expensive wedding gift.
I wouldn't mind provided there's enough advance warning to save.
I would be excited to get away.
