The Board has been asked to look into installing more permanent shading at the pool. We are considering this, but are surveying residents first. Would you like shading added, yes or no? If so, comment on the two options pictured. Note, the cost will range from $10,000-$15,000 and will most likely be installed along the deep end of the pool, adjacent to the upper parking lot.

I’d prefer to spend the money on umbrellas so that every 2 lounge chairs could share an umbrella. People who want sun, can lower the umbrella. People who want shade can put up the umbrella. This would provide more flexibility and choice as far as where to sit. Not everyone wants to sit down by the shallow end where there is typically more splashing and more children. Some may prefer the quieter deep end for naps or reading

How about more chairs and possibly put the money towards umbrellas at the chairs.
