Crowd sourcing, sorry for the long post. Lyra had a fundraising lemonade and cupcake stand yesterday. Her last customers of the day were an elderly woman being driven by her adult son in a Jeep. They bought out the last of the cupcakes and had no way to transport them. I told them I would run in to grab a paper plate, but they said they would just take my glass cake plate and bring it right back since they live up the road. It's still not back today and I am very bummed since it was a sentimental wedding gift. We do have their plates from our security camera. What do I do?

Chalk it up as a loss.
Write a passive aggressive post on the Westfield page to see if a neighbor recognizes them and then pay them a visit.
Go to the police station (and essentially waste their time) to have them run the plate number.
