What is your vision for emerging Haverhill based on lessons learned from this past year and pandemic?

1. Maintained School buildings with the funding that can guarantee the highest quality of education and opportunities for ALL Haverhill children.
5. Need for creative outlets and shared public spaces to bring us together.
6. Broadband is essential and should be treated as a public utility. The council needs to appropriate some of that Federal money we are getting, and get it done.
4. More and better maintained green spaces.
18. Pay our educators a living wage.
7. The Clean River Project to keep our river and its banks clean.
9. Spend most of the stimulus money on infrastructure: water, sewer, sewer outflow into the river.
11. Affordable, public healthcare.
25. Protect our rural areas instead of trying to decrease lot sizes.
3. Some of the special things we did such as redesign of restaurants and the way people shop will need to continue.

12. A larger fire department to allow 4-man engine companies for the safety of the fire fighters.
13. New fire stations on the sections of the city where response times are too long to make a difference.

26. A lot of businesses have rather trashy storefronts - there should be standards for appearance and upkeep.

29. Whatever plan, we must consider all demographics that make up Haverhill’s diverse communities.
Build the Animal Shelter as is needed. Provide 24/7 Animal Control Officer availability.
2. Stop spending and cut taxes.
22. Pot shops must abide to their agreements with the city by donating some of their proceeds back to the city.
23. Celebrate the spirit of all the volunteers that stepped up on an annual basis.
24. Perhaps the City can also invest in its own supplemental water pressure enhancement with a water tower.
