Dacian Cioloş finished first with 312 votes, or 20.7%, in a 20-option trust poll. Klaus Iohannis followed at 12.5%, leaving the winner well short of majority support.
Cioloş’s lead was widest at the opening checkpoint, then settled around 21% while the rest of the field remained scattered. Romania accounted for 1,146 votes and leaned toward Cioloş.
