Italy cast more than two-thirds of all 2,705 votes and leaned toward Fabrizio Moro's "Portami via." Fiorella Mannoia won the poll anyway, finishing just 0.8 points ahead — a margin built almost entirely outside Italy, where the US, Canada, France, and Spain all favored her over Moro.

The race was decided almost immediately: Moro led by 26% on day one, but Mannoia overtook him by day two and the standings never budged again across the next 17 days. Behind the top two, the field fractured hard — 20 remaining songs split what was left, with Francesco Gabbani's 11.3% the best any of them managed.
