Two thousand seven hundred seventy-eight votes split across thirty faces, and the winner needed only 355 of them — 12.8% — to top the board. Runner-up Malin Bostroem trailed by just 3.6 points, and the next four finishers bunched within a single point of each other. Nobody built a majority; the crown went to whoever fragmented the field the least.
The top two didn't even share a fan base. Kaarina Tatiana Kendall's votes ran almost entirely female, while Malin Bostroem split near evenly and pulled more men than any other finalist. Meanwhile the United Kingdom, the single largest voting bloc, quietly backed a different face altogether: Laura Ehima.
