The contest found its shape almost immediately. EIB led through day 2, but Crossed Sabers moved ahead on day 3 and remained the checkpoint leader through the rest of the 14-day vote.
Crossed Sabers finished with 774 votes and 36.1%, beating EIB by 264 votes and 12.3 points. The United States, the largest reported country bloc, leaned toward 7th ID instead of either frontrunner.
