Carlo Ancelotti led from the first day of voting to the last, finishing with 1,373 votes — more than Martin O'Neill and Steve Bruce combined. His share climbed steadily too, from 46% early on to 54% by the close of 136 days, without a single lead change along the way.
But the coronation wasn't universal. The United Kingdom, the poll's single biggest voting bloc at 47 votes, backed O'Neill instead — a hometown revolt swallowed whole by the rest of the map. The United States, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and Hong Kong all leaned Ancelotti, turning one nation's dissent into a global rout.
- The Margin · Ancelotti's 1,373 votes outnumbered both rivals combined
- UK Dissent · Britain's largest bloc, 47 votes, backed O'Neill, not the winner
- Global Reach · US, India, Malaysia, Singapore all sided with Ancelotti instead
