Which Players Should Guardiola SELL Next Season

Martin Demichelis grabbed the lead on day one at 15% and never lost it — not once in 26 days of voting. He closed at 14.4% (1,071 votes), just 63 votes ahead of Wilfried Bony's 13.6% (1,008), while Jesus Navas, Kolarov and Fernando trailed well behind in a crowded chase for third.

This was a neutral crowd, not a fan mob: fewer than 1% of voters on every single player identified as a fan of that club, and votes skewed overwhelmingly male across the board. Geography told its own story — the UK supplied 62% of all votes and, like the US, Ireland and Australia, leaned Demichelis. Only Canada broke ranks, favoring Bony instead.

• Wire-to-wire lead · Demichelis topped the poll on all 26 days, no turnovers.
• Razor-thin finish · Just 63 votes separated Demichelis and Bony at the close.
• Fans stayed silent · Under 1% of voters on any player were self-identified fans.
• Canada bucks the trend · Only major country to favor Bony over Demichelis.
