Dobson High School opened with 39% on day one and never dropped below 32% the rest of the way, closing at 31.7% with 957 votes. Mountain Sky Junior High trailed the entire 8 days and finished 5.5 points back at 26.2%, the only other school to crack five figures of support relative to the field.
This wasn't a nailbiter — it was a clean, two-school race for the top spot while eight other schools split the remaining 42% in single digits each. Safford K-8 was the closest thing to a third act, but its 10% never threatened the top two.
- Day-one lead held · Dobson's 39% opening-day margin never dipped below 32%
- Two-school race · Dobson and Mountain Sky combined for 58% of all 3,019 votes
