Chile was the single biggest country bloc in this poll, 37 votes strong — and it's the only top-10 nation that backed the open TVN signal watched at home. Every other country on the list, from the US (21) to Costa Rica (19), El Salvador (14), Venezuela (14), Peru, Argentina, Honduras, Bolivia and Guatemala, sided with the international signal instead. One country's turnout couldn't outvote everyone watching from outside it.

That split decided the whole poll: the international option finished at 51.6% (1612 votes) over the home broadcast's 40.9% (1280), a gap that held for all 273 days without changing hands. It opened lopsided — a 75% share on day 1 — and eroded steadily toward the low 50s by the end, but Chile's home-signal crowd never got the votes to close it.

  • Chile, alone · Chile was the only top country favoring the local TVN signal.
  • Everywhere else, international · US, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Venezuela and 5 more all leaned international.
  • No lead change · International signal led every single day across all 273 days.
