In a Facebook poll of 2,922 respondents, 27.5% chose “Poor paint jobs”. How we count
Poor paint jobs topped the list at just 27.5% — barely more than a quarter of voters, in a field where every option cracked double digits or came close. Too bright headlights trailed by less than 6 points at 21.7%, meaning a swap of roughly 90 votes would've flipped the result entirely.
The order shuffled hard early: baby on board signs held every vote on day one, custom plates overtook by day two and led the cumulative count through day three, and only in the final stretch did poor paint jobs and bright headlights pull ahead for good. With loud engines still drawing votes late and six options finishing within 20 points of each other, this wasn't a consensus pick — it was a genuine three-way scramble that paint jobs happened to win.
