Voting opened scattered, but by day 2 the '06 Dodge Viper seized control and never looked shaky through the middle of the race, cruising 30-75 points ahead of whoever sat in second. The '70 Chevelle SS 454 spent nearly two weeks stuck in a distant chase, closing the gap only slightly day after day.
Then, on day 14, everything flipped: the Chevelle SS 454 overtook the Viper and held on through the finish. It's a mirage in the final tally though — the Viper still won going away with 43.4% (31,058 votes) to the Corvette ZR-1's 31.9%, proving a late-poll swing doesn't always survive the full count.
