Mach V grabbed 100% of day one and never let go, holding the cumulative lead all five days of voting. But under the hood, a second race was playing out — Speed Buggy quietly closed in, sitting 50% behind Mach V for most of the stretch, then piling on enough late votes to blow past everyone.
By the final tally, Speed Buggy actually won the war even though it never led the cumulative count: 37.6% of all 14,491 votes, more than double Mystery Machine's second-place 14%. Mach V, the wire-to-wire cumulative leader, settled for third at 12.4% — proof that leading early isn't leading at the finish.
- Day-1 lock · Mach V took 100% of the earliest votes
- Cumulative leader vs. final winner · Mach V led all 5 days, but Speed Buggy won overall
- Runaway margin · Speed Buggy's 37.6% more than doubled second place
- Late surge · Gadgetmobile emerged as day 5's closest challenger
