The Camaro RS/SS 350 came out of the gate with a clean sweep on day 1, only to get overtaken by the Charger Matte Black by day 2. The Charger held its edge through day 3, a 33% cushion over the surging Gran Torino.
Then the Camaro struck back, retaking the lead by day 4 and stretching it to 40% on the final day. But it was a late-charging outsider that stole the actual finish: the Ford Gran Torino, invisible in the top spot through day 3, rallied to win it all with 37.8% of 68,678 votes — the Falcon XB GT Coupe close behind at 33.4%.
