In a Facebook poll of 2,354 respondents, 25.6% chose “ഉണ്ട”. How we count
· Share: ···
Forty movies split the vote, and ഉണ്ട topped the field with just 602 of 2,354 ballots — 25.6%. Three of every four voters picked something else. ലൂസിഫർ trailed by a tight 127 votes at 20.2%, and after that the field falls apart fast: മധുരരാജ and കുമ്പളങ്ങി നൈറ്റ്സ് tied near 10%, then a long tail of titles scraping single digits, several stuck at zero.
The split runs along borders too. United States voters, the single largest bloc at 690 ballots, leaned toward ലൂസിഫർ — while every other major bloc, from AP's 230 to India's 186 to the UAE's 173, plus Qatar, Bahrain, the UK and Kuwait, lined up behind ഉണ്ട. The winner took the poll without ever winning its biggest room.
- Plurality, not majority · ഉണ്ട won with just 25.6% of 2,354 votes cast.
- Razor-thin runner-up · ലൂസിഫർ trailed by only 127 votes, 20.2% to 25.6%.
- Biggest bloc dissented · US voters, the largest country group, leaned ലൂസിഫർ instead.
- Forty-way fragmentation · Six-plus titles drew fewer than 6 votes each, some zero.
