In a Facebook poll of 3,300 respondents, 92.8% chose “Barcelonista”. How we count
This wasn't a race — it was decided before day one was over. Barcelonista opened with 88% of the vote and never fell below that share across 611 days, climbing as high as 97% by day 20 before settling into the low-90s for the long haul. Espanyolista never mounted anything: the final count reads 3,061 to 239, a margin near 13-to-1.
The pull crossed borders nobody would expect for a poll about Catalan club allegiance. Spain supplied most identified voters, but ballots also landed from the United States, Mexico, the UK, Argentina, Bulgaria, Czechia, Germany, the Dominican Republic and Ecuador — every single one leaning Barcelonista. A rivalry this lopsided still traveled the world.
