Manuel González won the public vote with 1,065 of 1,485 votes, finishing 748 votes ahead of Pablo Tapia. González led every checkpoint, while Tapia ended at 21.3% and Maximiliano Olavarría at 6.9%.

Chile supplied 920 listed voters, by far the largest country bloc, and leaned González. The result was also sharply male-skewed: González’s voters were 87% male, compared with 68% for Tapia.
