Two crowds answered this poll, and they didn't look alike. Among people who said a family member has CF, men made up just 17% — the group skewed overwhelmingly female, 98 women to 20 men. Among those who have CF themselves, men's share nearly doubled to 36%, almost even with the 18 women who picked that answer.
The family-member answer also carried the entire poll on scale alone. It opened with 47% on day one, cleared 60% by day 16, and never dropped back below 60% again across the next 176 days — finishing with 2,151 votes, more than the other three options combined.
