The race changed shape quickly. Rancagua led at the opening checkpoint, Rengo moved ahead by day 6, and San Fernando took the top spot by day 10. From there, San Fernando held at roughly 33% to 34% through the finish.

San Fernando ended with 473 votes, ahead of Santa Cruz’s 410. Chile supplied 828 votes and leaned toward the eventual winner.
